By downloading, accessing, or using Saro, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the app. Your use of the app constitutes your acceptance of this agreement and any additional policies or disclosures made available within the app, including any applicable privacy disclosures.
If you use Saro on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on their behalf. If you do not have that authority, you may not use the service in that capacity.
Saro is a lightweight note-organizing application designed to help users turn fragmented content into structured note cards. Users may submit short text notes, temporary memos, chat excerpts, or a single note-related image such as a screenshot, whiteboard photo, or study excerpt. Users may also choose an organizational goal such as Study, Work, Idea, or Todo.
Based on the content provided by the user, the app generates a structured note card that may include a short title, several key points, a topic tag, one or more suggested next actions, and a concise summary. The app is intended to improve note clarity and reduce the time needed to organize scattered information. It is not a general-purpose social platform, public publishing tool, team collaboration workspace, long-term knowledge management system, or professional advisory service.
Saro may also provide supporting features such as copying generated note cards, saving recent history locally on the device, marking items as favorites, deleting records, regenerating results for the same input, and clearing local data from settings. The app may keep a limited number of recent records on the device for convenience.
New users may receive a limited number of free uses. After free uses are exhausted, additional generations may require virtual coins obtained through Apple in-app purchases. The number of coins consumed per generation may vary within a disclosed range shown to the user before use. Save and copy features are intended to ensure that a completed generation remains useful after it has been created.
Certain features may require camera or photo library access when the user chooses to capture or upload a note image. User text may be processed to generate note cards, while uploaded images may be transmitted for cloud-based analysis and then deleted after processing. Generated note cards and certain usage data such as local history or coin balance may be stored locally or handled through Apple purchase systems as applicable.
All generated results are derived from user-provided content and automated processing. Saro does not promise factual completeness, academic correctness, business accuracy, or suitability for important personal, educational, legal, medical, financial, or workplace decisions.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Use, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use Saro for your own lawful, non-commercial use. This license does not transfer any ownership rights in the app or its underlying technology.
You may use the app only as intended for organizing your own notes and similar content. Any use beyond the scope expressly permitted by these terms is prohibited unless we provide prior written consent.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saro and its owners, operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, business opportunities, or device functionality arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app.
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. If applicable law does not allow certain limitations, liability will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Saro is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, free from errors, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every device, operating system version, or network condition.
We may add, remove, update, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the app at any time, with or without notice. This includes changes to generation behavior, local storage limits, free-use availability, coin consumption ranges, or supported device functionality.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Saro at any time if we reasonably believe that you have violated these terms, misused the service, created legal risk, interfered with app operations, or engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity.
You may stop using the app at any time. Termination or discontinuation of access does not limit any rights or remedies that may be available to us under law or under these terms.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saro and its owners, operators, affiliates, licensors, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, demands, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the app, your content, your violation of these terms, your violation of any law or regulation, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Saro may offer consumable virtual coins through Apple in-app purchases. These coins may be used to obtain note generation services within the app after any initial free uses have been exhausted. Coin packages, pricing, and availability may change at any time to the extent permitted by Apple policies and applicable law.
Coins are licensed, not sold, and have no cash value, no property interest, and no exchange value outside the app. Except where required by applicable law or platform rules, purchases are final and non-refundable. Coins cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred between users, or used outside Saro.
Each note generation may consume a variable number of coins within a disclosed range presented to the user before completion of the action. Free uses, if provided, are promotional, may be granted in limited quantities, may be random within a disclosed range, and are not replenishable unless expressly stated by us.
Apple may administer billing, purchase authentication, and related transaction processing. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with any Apple purchase terms that apply to your transactions.
Saro is intended only for users who are at least 17 years old and who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
If you are using the app on a device shared with others, you remain responsible for compliance with these terms for your own use. If applicable law in your jurisdiction imposes additional age or consent requirements, you must satisfy those requirements before using the app.
We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated terms may be posted within the app or otherwise made available to users. Changes become effective on the stated effective date or when otherwise indicated.
Your continued use of Saro after updated terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised agreement. If you do not agree to a change, you must stop using the app.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit, upload, paste, capture, store, copy, or regenerate through Saro. You must ensure that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any text, images, screenshots, or other materials processed through the app.
You are also responsible for reviewing generated note cards before relying on them. Because the app uses automated processing, outputs may omit context, misinterpret content, or present incomplete summaries. You should use appropriate judgment before acting on any result.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, managing access to locally stored records, and clearing local data when needed.
Saro, including its name, software, design, features, interface elements, compilations, underlying models or integrations, and all related intellectual property rights, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other laws.
Except for the limited license expressly granted in these terms, no right, title, or interest in or to the app is transferred to you. You may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any part of the app except as expressly permitted by law or by our prior written consent.
You agree not to misuse Saro. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: using the app for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive purposes; uploading content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; submitting harmful, malicious, or unauthorized content; introducing malware or harmful code; attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or data; interfering with the app's operation or security; scraping or harvesting data; using bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the service in an unauthorized manner; reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive source code except where prohibited from restriction by law; circumventing payment, coin, or usage controls; and using the app to build or benchmark a competing service without permission.
You also may not use Saro as a substitute for professional advice, or represent generated outputs as verified facts when they have not been independently reviewed.
Saro produces automated note-organization results based on the content you provide. These outputs are for general informational and productivity purposes only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, oversimplified, inconsistently phrased, or unsuitable for your intended use.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, completeness, usefulness, or fitness of generated results for academic evaluation, workplace decisions, research conclusions, legal matters, financial matters, medical matters, or any other important purpose. Any reliance on generated output is at your own risk, and you should independently verify important information.
You retain ownership of the text, images, screenshots, and other content you provide to Saro. We do not claim ownership of your content.
However, by submitting content through the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and duration-limited license to host, transmit, analyze, process, format, and use that content solely as necessary to operate the app, generate note cards, maintain app functionality, and comply with legal obligations. This license is limited to the purposes of providing the service.
Where image analysis or similar processing requires transmission to cloud-based systems, you authorize that temporary processing. As described in the app's handling practices, some content may be stored locally on your device and may be removable by you through deletion or data-clearing functions.
Saro is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and system integration.
We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, produce any particular result, operate without interruption, be error-free, remain available, or be free of harmful components. You use the app at your own risk.
These Terms of Use and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to Saro or your use of the app will be governed by the applicable laws that properly apply to the agreement and the service, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect to the extent permitted by law.
